Coming2Israel.com - Sde Dov / Dov Hoz Airport, Tel Aviv

  Sde Dov, Dov Field, Airport is located in the north end of Tel Aviv, just north of the Reading Station power plant, with its runway parallel and adjacent to the Mediterranean Sea. The airport is currently and mostly used by regional flights to Eilat and to the north of the Israel.  There are some international flights to Cyprus, and Amman, Jordan. Arkia and Israir are the two main operators with scheduled flights to and from Sde Dov. So, if you are flying to Eilat, and, at least until 2018, when the airport is scheduled to close, you will, more than likely, be flying in and out of Sde Dov.  Getting to the airport is available by bus, but a taxi is probably your best bet to get to this airport. Buses to the airport include the Egged Bus 71 and Dan Bus 125 which pass the airport on Levi Eshkol Street.  See the Google Map link below.  Of course, check the Bus Company’s respective websites for schedules and exact route numbers: Link to our Bus Company Route Information. If you are arriving from Ben Gurion Airport, with a transfer to Eilat, or elsewhere, via the Sde Dov airport, there is no direct link between the two airports.  You could take the train from Ben Gurion to one of the two closest stations to Sde Dov, but they are still considerably distant from Sde Dov.  A taxi from the Ben Gurion is probably the best bet. The I.A.A. (Israel Airports Authority) does maintain an English web site for the airport, but at the time of listing, most links were not yet complete. I.A.A.
