Now that you know where the stations are, let's talk about some routes.  To cover all the bus routes in Israel is an undertaking unto itself, so we will offer you some of the major routes that people have expressed interest in.  If a route becomes an often repeated request from our readers, we will add it to our site.  If you have a request, please contact us and we will do our best to find you the answer.  In the meantime, someone else has made a great website covering just about all buses in Israel, and the site is even in English! Link to Bus.co.il: www,bus.co.il English website We suggest that before you delve into route searching, take a few minutes and click on the services Index Link across the top of the page and you'll be brought to a page listing the major transport companies in Israel.  Then click on the name of a company and a page will come up showing the areas and cities that each one covers.

The Bus Route From Tel Aviv To Jerusalem:

The most often request we've seen, is how to get to Jerusalem from Tel Aviv.  So other than the train, which actually takes longer than the bus ride does, there are two buses running from Tel Aviv to the Jerusalem central bus station. The Egged 480 bus, originating from the Tel Aviv 2000 (Arlozorov) station and; The Egged 405 bus, leaving from the New Central Bus station. Both run times are about 1 hour and the ticket price is less than 20.00 ILS.

The Bus Route From Tel Aviv To Eilat:

The Egged 390, rapid, via Be'er Sheva bypass on Sundays, Thursdays. The Egged 394, express, via Bnei Darom, Malakhi and Be'er Sheva bypass. The Egged 393, from Eilat to Tel Aviv, regular, via Gedera, Rehovot, Nes Tsiyona and the center of Rishon le-Tsiyon.

Egged Bus To the Ben Gurion Airport:

The only bus from Ben Gurion Airport Terminal 3, is Egged bus no. 5, which is basically a shuttle bus to Airport City. From there, you can transfer to another regular bus to other destinations.  If you are using the searching features from above on the Egged Website for the Route 5 shuttle bus, use Ben Gurion Airport as the starting point and Kfar Truman as the destination to get the details about this route. Other specific routes will be listed as demand is shown for them.
