  We can’t stop saying this enough, for such a small country, there are an abundance of National and City Parks that you could spend time visiting and further enjoy your stay in Israel. And for a country that is basically and mostly a desert, with an overall shortage of water, these parks make up for quite a bit of green space within Israel.

National Parks In Israel:

The National Parks in Israel are maintained by the Israel National Parks Authority - INPA.  These parks managed by the INPA includes parks, nature reserves archaeological sites as well as the bicycle trails in and around them.  Whatever or wherever your interests lie, there is more than likely an INPA site close to you and definitely worth a visit, should you have the time and the weather is good - which is most of the time, by the way! City Parks In Israel:

Just about every city in Israel, and, certainly, the major cities in Israel, have created and maintain some excellent and fun parks to visit while you are here visiting Israel.  Most of the bigger city parks in Israel will have other amenities, either within them or around them, so that you are able to grab a drink or a bite to eat if you so desire.  And quite a few of these shops or kiosks will be open on Saturdays and some holidays.  Of course an early afternoon picnic is within the park, just might be a better alternative.  Coming2Isreal.com Link to the Major City/Municipal Parks Within Israel
