  As we have already mentioned, there is quite a good and thriving performing arts area in Israel.  Just about every weekend and sometimes every day, there is am entertaining, well produced event going on throughout the country.  Most, if not all of the major cities in Israel have a central, fairly large capacity theater and, of course, many more smaller “local” theaters as well.  There are even some performances in English and some of the theaters display subtitles on a screen around the stage.  Below is a list of most of the larger theaters within the country and some of the smaller, more prominent theaters as well.
