Coming2Israel.com - Outdoor / Farmers Markets In Israel

If you have never been to an Israeli outdoor market, you owe it to yourself to go.  Even if you are not going to shop, although that is more than half the fun, you must see, at least, one for yourself.  You must see and be in one to really understand one. If you do need to do some shopping, avoid going on Fridays as that is the busiest time for these markets.  But if you have the time and want to get a sense of the crazy action that is the Israeli Outdoor market, than, Friday is the day to go.  Go early, grab yourself a coffee and a baked good and wait for the place to fill up.  It really is something to see. Of course all the markets have their unique character and charm, but if you only find yourself in Tel Aviv or Jerusalem, then you must, must , must go to the Shuk HaCarmel in Tel Aviv or the Mahane Yehuda Market in Jerusalem. Again, wherever you find yourself in Israel, if there is an outdoor market where you are, check it out.  You won’t be disappointed. Here is our list of the outdoor markets in Israel, arranged alphabetically by city.  Our list is, by no means, comprehensive, but surely a good start.  If you happen to know about another great israeli outdoor market, do let us know!
