  This section covers the beaches area south of the central Tel Aviv (Gush Dan) Area of the Mediterranean coast. The two Israeli Coastal Cities offer Beaches for the visitor coming to Israel: Ashdod and Ashkelon

Ashdod Beaches

Ashdod's coastline includes 8 km of shoreline, an operational port and seven beaches. The northern - most, Mei Ami, boasts free fitness machines and jungle gyms for the kids, events halls, restaurants and hotels; Lido Beach hosts a weekly open market; and Gandi offers a promenade lined with restaurants and cafes. On Saturdays there's folk dancing in the square and the market stocked with crafts, toys and clothes. Ashkelon Beaches

Ashkelon is the southern most city on the Mediterranean shoreline of Israel. In recent years, its 12 kilometers of beautiful beaches have been developed and modernized.  If you are in Ashkelon, it is worth a trip to one of her beautiful beaches!
