Acco/Akko/Acre Beaches

One of the most ancient port cities in the world, Old Acco/Akko/Acre was declared a world heritage site by UNESCO in 2001. Its 3 km shoreline ends in the Old City's ancient walls and includes three beaches: Argaman (named for the dye the Canaanites produced from snails in ancient Acco/Acre).
